AFFORDING THE GOOD LIFE

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

CAN I MAKE A PROFIT?

Do you dream of leaping off the treadmill of a boring nine till five job and starting a new life in the country, on a smallholding?
Or maybe you have just done so and are now wondering how to make ends meet?

This course is designed just for you. You will go home with a good idea of the funds required to get started and what options are open to you, depending on the depth of your pocket.

Making a Profit from a Smallholding is perfectly possible, given the right approach and an understanding of marketing. On this course, we will explain how it is done.

Oak Lodge Nursery, the Venue:
The course is held on this extremely well run, four acre smallholding with excellent outdoor vegetable plots, a large Poly tunnel an orchard, most types of poultry, rare Breed pigs, sheep and a even couple of reindeer!
They have a superb Farm shop, with excellent examples of how to present produce for sale, a Coffee Shop and a large agricultural building.

You will be mostly indoors in a classroom environment within the farm building, interspersed with visits to appropriate sections of the holding from time to time.

Catering will be provided by the Coffee Shop facility, utilizing wherever possible, produce from the farm itself and prepared on the premises.

Oak Lodge is very easily accessible, being situated in South Derbyshire at Foston, close to the A50 and mid way between the M1 at Derby and the M6 at Stoke. The Post Code is DE65 5PX
